Bulkheads are the perfect option when you need a water-tight seal for your tank's plumbing systems. But why buy bulkheads from Live Aquaponics? We have sourced the best in the business, and we don't make that claim lightly. In fact, these are the same bulkheads we use in our own systems. Compare these important differences in our bulkheads to others on the market:
Top-of-the-Line Materials: Our bulkheads are made of the highest quality, non-toxic, UV-stablized ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) gaskets. This means our gaskets are extremely durable, yet also flexible. Regular rubber will become brittle over time, but EPDM gaskets are designed to last. EPDM resists the kind of wear and tear you'll find in aquaponic and aquaculture systems as well as weathering from outdoor elements, making it the right choice for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Better Fitting Ends: Our bulkheads have tapered ends. Why does this matter? It allows our bulkhead fittings to accommodate any brand of pipe you select, each of which can be slightly different. Not all bulkheads can make that claim, and it's an important reason ours are so special.
Heavy Duty Design: Our bulkhead fittings are thicker than standard schedule 40 fittings, which means they are less likely to crack or break. They are more durable, and in an aquaculture or aquaponics environment, durability counts.
Made in America: All of our bulkheads are made right here in the United States. Because we have a solid working relationship with the manufacturer, we can quickly meet demands for our customers that others, relying on overseas manufacturing, cannot.
