OTHER: White Popping Sorghum is an heirloom sorghum whose seeds can be popped just like popcorn. The white popped kernels are smaller than those of popcorn, with a great nutty flavor & nice crunchiness. The seeds can also be made into a flour with a nice light color. The white 12” seed heads are very lovely, & can be dried for arrangements or holiday décor.

Sorghum has a wide variety of uses & benefits!

Sorghum is gluten free, & contains many vitamins & minerals. It is high in fiber & proteins.

The grain can be made in to flour, & used as a substitute for wheat, rye, & barley. Sorghum flour can be used to make any number of gluten free culinary delights from bread to beer. It can also be enjoyed as a whole grain.

Sorghum canes are used to produce Sorghum Syrup, which is similar to molasses syrup in color & consistency.

The leaves, stalks, & grain can be used as livestock feed.

Sorghum is used in biofuel production.

Sorghum is not difficult to grow, & is traditionally grown in rows similar to corn. It grows quickly, tolerates heat & drought well, & will grow in most soil types.
