OTHER: Mulato Isleno is an heirloom Mexican poblano or ancho type pepper. They are called ‘poblano’ when they are fresh, and ‘ancho’ when they are dried. The peppers measure 4 – 6” long by 3" wide & are tapered. They are mildly hot with an SHU (Scoville Heat Units) rating of 1,000 to 2,000. The peppers have beautiful coloration, starting out a glossy green & changing to a lovely chocolate brown. Mulato Isleno is sweeter than other anchos, & is very popular in Mexican & Southwestern dishes, mole sauces, & much more!
