When it comes to choosing a premium-quality, high-protein food or algae disc for your fish, nutritional needs should be the primary concern. We have the highest quality fish food and discs available. Our fish food packages are identical in terms of nutrition, but vary in terms of the size of the pellets. Each package (Starter 100, Starter 200, Starter 300) contains a different pellet size, and each package is available in 1-pound, 5-pound or 10-pound sizes perfect for home farmers and aquaponics enthusiasts. Our nutritious algae discs also come in convenient 1-pound, 5-pound or 10-pound sizes. You can choose the pellet size and quantity you need from the drop-down menus on this page. If you need a larger quantity, we can accommodate that as well; please contact us for special orders.

Algae Discs

In addition to Starter 100, algae discs are the perfect first food for Tilapia and other algae-loving fry. (Start slow, with a half disc, then increase to approximately two discs per 500 fry per twice-daily feeding). Once the fry become fingerlings, they are ready to move up to Starter 200 food, though some experts believe continuing to feed algae discs in addition to Starter 100, 200 or 300 pellets encourages faster growth and spawning.  As long as you are feeding the appropriate amount, algae discs won’t make your tank water cloudy like algae powder can, and they will also provide a nice nutritional boost to any bottom feeders you may have in your tank, such as the Plecostomus.

*Sinking Diet
*Promotes better water clarity over algae powder with proper use
*Perfect for algae-loving fry; can also be used with fingerlings and adults
*Additional food supplement to promote faster growth and spawning; should be used in addition to Starter 100, 200 or 300 pellets in moderation
(Pictured here, 1-lb., 5-lb. and 10-lb. sizes)

For Best Results
When ordering fish for your aquaponics or aquaculture program, we recommend that you keep the fish on the same food they are already accustomed to as this will smooth your transition. In the wild, fish eat many different foods, and as a result, they maintain a balanced diet that is hard to mimic in captivity. When tank raising fish, it is crucial to offer them a balanced diet that ensures proper growth and supports their immune systems. Adding our high-quality feed to your order will help you do just that.
