Due to extremely high demand, we are currently out-of-stock on adult size Redclaw Crayfish. We are still taking orders and those orders will be filled are soon as they are available.
One Australian Redclaw Crayfish breeding colony consists of five Redclaws (three females and two males) each carefully selected, healthy, sexually mature, and ready to reproduce. Whether you are interested in raising crayfish for personal consumption of for profit, starting with a mature breeding colony will allow you to achieve your goals with a faster return on your investment.
Crayfish usually take between 6 and 12 months to become sexually mature. In their natural habitat, they typically breed in the fall and, sometimes, in the spring as well, yielding between one and three spawns per year. In a controlled hatchery, crayfish can reproduce continually throughout the year. Australian Redclaw Crayfish average 100 to 1,000 eggs per spawn.
* In the state of Florida, you must have a Florida Aquaculture License to own Australian Redclaw Crayfish. Before embarking on your new venture, please check with your own state and local laws concerning aquaculture.
